Bounceback Queries

'Bounceback' is a revolutionary idea in the Irish market that is available to certain Springboard customers*, and which recognises an excellent repayment record.

Once certain Springboard customers have met all their monthly repayments on time for two years, we will reward them with a rate reduction of 0.50%. What’s more we’ll reward them on two further occasions, each time with an additional rate reduction of 0.50%, when they make 12 consecutive monthly repayments on time. Thanks to 'Bounceback', Springboard customers could save thousands of Euro over the term of their loan.

*Bounceback is only available to designated Springboard Mortgages customers. If you are eligible, you will have been informed in your ‘Letter of Offer’ from Springboard Mortgages. You will also receive regular updates from Springboard outlining when you will receive your next payment reward.

Mortgage Statements & Certificates of Interest

In January each year, as a customer of Springboard Mortgages you will receive a mortgage statement including a certificate of interest. This will be posted to you free of charge.

However, if you require an updated statement during the course of the year, please call us on 0818 220242 and we will post you a current statement. Our turnaround time is approximately 5 days from when you request the statement. Please refer to our Fees and Charges section for information on the fee applicable to requesting a statement.

Tax Relief at Source Queries

Tax Relief at Source (TRS) is a relief offered by the Revenue to customers paying interest on a qualifying loan. A qualifying loan for the purpose of mortgage TRS is a secured loan, used to purchase, repair, develop or improve your sole or main residence, situated in the State.

The following changes were announced by the Minister for Finance in relation to Mortgage Interest Relief for non first-time buyers effective from the 1st May 2009:

Mortgage Interest Tax Relief may be claimed on the interest paid on a qualifying home loan in the first 7 tax years of the life of that loan.
Mortgage Interest Tax Relief may not be claimed on the interest paid on a qualifying home loan in the 8th and subsequent tax years of the life of that loan. Mortgages taken out in the 2002 tax year or earlier no longer qualify for Mortgage Interest Tax Relief.
The rate at which tax relief is given to non-first-time buyers is 15%.

As a mortgage customer, the Revenue may contact you in relation to your Mortgage Interest Relief entitlement in due course. If you are not currently receiving Mortgage Interest Tax Relief and you believe you are entitled, please contact the TRS Helpline on 1890 46 3626 or refer to www.revenue.ie

Direct Debits

As a customer of Springboard Mortgages, you are required to have an active Direct Debit in place. To change your direct debit to a new account, simply call us on 0818 220242 and we can setup your new direct debit over the phone through our DD Plus Scheme. Confirmation of setup will be posted to you within 5 days. Please refer to our Fees and Charges section for information on the fee applicable to altering your Direct Debit.

We have one Direct Debit collection date which is the 1st of each month. If you miss this collection date, please call us on 0818 220242 and speak with a member of our Payment Options Team. We will re-apply for your missed Direct Debit again mid month.

Early Redemption Quotations

If you are repaying your mortgage in full early, please contact us on 0818 220242 and we can arrange for a Redemption Quotation to be posted to you or your Solicitor. This quotation will outline the amount you require to fully repay your Springboard Mortgage, including all fees and charges. Our turnaround time is approximately 5 days from when you request the Redemption Quotation.

Adding or Removing a party to a mortgage
